can't access editable area

I'am having a big problem with this plugin but only on firefox.

When i call the jhtmlarea function the textarea contetn at first appears on the editable area for a second or so, then it disapears and i can't do anything in that area (no write, no focus, no nothing).

Though if i switch to html mode my content is there.

I've tested this with IE8, Chrome, Opera and FireFox, being these last one the only with this problem.

the code when i call the plugin is bellow this line, there's nothing complex about it, i just don' understand.

for(i = 0; i < json.ficha.descricoes.length; i++)
{
   $("#descText-"+json.ficha.descricoes[i].ididioma).htmlarea(
      {
         toolbar:[
		      ["html"],
		      ["bold", "italic", "underline"],
		      ["increaseFontSize", "decreaseFontSize"],
		      ["justifyLeft", "justifyCenter", "justifyRight"],
		      ["orderedlist", "unorderedlist"],
		      ["h1", "h2", "h3", "p"],
		      ["link", "unlink"]
		    ]
	}
   );
}

I had the same problem and it was due to having some other scripts included that caused it. With me it was some Dijit/Dojo Scripts.

Take your html output, put it in a testfile and start ripping everything out of it poart by part and see when it starts to work. That's how i found the solution.
